Describe your issue
Monument of Colossal Heroes increasing education capacity by 1 million, similar to Hadron

What is your game version?
1.15.1-f2

What expansions do you have installed?
After Dark, Snowfall, Natural Disasters, Mass Transit, Green Cities, Parklife, Industries, Campus, Sunset Harbor, Airports

What mods are you using?
all disabled

Please explain your issue is in as much detail as possible.
my total education capacity was increased by 1 million in each category. Ie if I had 23,200 capacity in high school it was now 1,023,200. This is the same effect as Hadron Collider but I had not even unlocked that yet. All schools were empty. Almost all people educated to max. turned off all mods, same thing. Then I started deleting random buildings. I found that deleting the Monument of Colossal heroes seems to be the source, because when I deleted it all returned to normal (though my land values now sucked). I am convinced this is either a bug in this asset or an undocumented feature that needs to be better documented

Can you replicate the issue? If yes, please explain how you did it.
deleting then adding back the asset

Please attach your game's output and error log and also explain your outdated game version.

update: I had nice screen shots for both and a log but your platform says they are too much like spam and won't accept them. "Your content can not be submitted. This is likely because your content is spam-like or contains inappropriate elements. Please change your content or try again later. If you still have problems, please contact an administrator." The game version is either 15 or 16 after the one, I can't tell the font is so bad. If I could send you the screen shot, you would see a radio button and hover text on this asset that actually calls itself the hadron collider

I give up. Just trying to do a good deed

this is with the asset in the game (I will try this one at a time to get past whatever crazy spam filter this forum has)

here is the log taken after I did the prior two. Sorry, mods are back on because I was too lazy to turn them all off for this but I can assure you this same behavior occurred with all mods gone and game in total vanilla mode

sorry, forgot file
By the way, my experience is that
1. turning off the asset but leaving it in game does not change anything. You get a big happiness loss in the area but the +1 million education capacity remains
2. clicking on the hadron button for not applying to universities does not work on this asset, with it highlighted universities still +1 million capacity

What is your game version?
1.15.1-f2
Current game version is 1.16.1-f2 . How is it you are on an older version? Do you have the game from Steam, or which platform?

The log file shows the latest version so you're good.

The effect of this building seems intended, but it's possible it has been incorrectly labeled as simply a unique building instead of a Hadron Collider equivalent monument.

I have seen the same issue. I first noticed it in my University, and the new monuments from the Africa Pack indeed add 1 million capacity in students, and no one visits the university anymore just like the Hadron collider. There is a "disable university boost" option on the monument which I tried first, and that worked for the University..... but not for Elementary and High School. The only way to get back to "normal" education is to remove the monuments. I never build the Hadron Collider ever, because I prefer having to take education into account when developing my city.

I replied that above. I appear to have 1.16.1.-f2. The font on my main screen in the lower right is so bad I cannot tell a 15 from a 16 but on studying it for a while it probably is a 16

There was no "f2" version of 1.15.1 released as far as I know (it was 1.15.1-f4)?
So yeah, if you see "f2" it must be "1.16.1-f2".

I have encountered an issue with the Monument of Colossal Heroes in Cities: Skylines that contradicts your statement. Despite not having unlocked the Hadron Collider yet, the Monument increased my education capacity by 1 million in each category. This caused my schools to have significantly inflated capacities. Even with all mods disabled and after deleting random buildings to troubleshoot, the problem persisted. It was only when I removed the Monument of Colossal Heroes that my education capacities returned to normal. This appears to be a bug or an undocumented feature related to the asset, as deleting it resolved the issue. Actually I am also a student and I wanted to remark that I actually would have liked colleges to be free for athletes, because I read here https://papersowl.com/examples/should-college-athletes-be-paid/ and I found this idea quite interesting, it could have been implemented as well in the game as in reality, I think it could have served as a good experiment.
