Downloaded Sunset Harbor upon release. Ever since then, my population dropped by 20k without reason. Also, my Industry demand has dropped to 0! Also, without reason. This happens with ANY city I load.

Can you replicate the issue? If yes, please explain how you did it.
Yes. Any city I load, this happens. This ONLY happened since the update

Yes, it happened to me, too. I had a city with 108,000 population, and when I started the game after the newest update, the population started constantly decreasing, and now it's 98,000, and still going down. I have only Parklife expansion. I have placed only one Child Health Center and one Elderlycare Center. I am not sure if they are causing the population decrease, or is it something broken in the game after the newest update.

One of simple solution for maintaining balance for me was do industry 4.0 policy for at least half of your industry district. Those can make new demand balance for decreased population after waiting one or two generations.

It would have been nice when the game altering features had been mentioned on the 'what's new' tab too.
New buildings and overground metro are cool of course, but a warning that my existing metro stations and -lines are now broken would have helped.
And, more in line with the thread, some technical information on the new life cycle mechanics and how to deal with them to keep your city healthy.

I think the new mechanics are an improvement, but a (release) note would have been polite. It would also save time, in-game money, and a lot of bug reports.

What should we do now, if this is not a bug, build more Child Health Centers and Elderlycare Centers? I was hoping they will fix this, but if it was intentionally done, then it is a real problem for my city, which had 108,000 population, and now has 98,000, and still going down, even after I built new residential areas.

If you are playing on non-expanding city, you can try do industry 4.0 policy on major industrial areas as those decreases available jobs on each industrial buildings.
