To echo other similar complaints in this forum, i'm experiencing repeat issues with PS4 error CE - 34878.
Two weeks ago I purchased the Mayor's Edition bundle. After a few hours of playing i'd get this error and crash, if I then reloaded the last autosave the game would simply crash again within the hour, with that same error message.
I followed instructions I have read online including reinstalling the game, deleting all game save data off the harddrive, clearing my cache and rebuilding my PS4 database, and the issue is still ongoing.
I have seen others mention they suspect the issue is related to forestry industry - it's possible this is the case as the last two times I have suffered the error, it was shortly after introducing and levelling up a forestry industry. From memory however I also believe this error has occurred while solely having a farming industry.
The game has become effectively unplayable when any game crashes once I reach a population of between 7-15k and begin scaling up industry, hopefully you can find a resolution shortly as it currently feels like a waste of $150.
