Playing as the Merchant Repbulic (Empire of Britannia). Pope excommunicates me, I use the option to repent, he demands Gavelkind. It doesn't work - kind of. It say's "Gavelkind" if I look under inheritance, but if I switch tabs it goes back to the default and only option for a Merchant Republic.
Steps to reproduce the issue.
0. Form a Merchant Republic
1. Piss the Pope off
2. Say you're sorry
3. Profit
