Please explain your issue is in as much detail as possible.
I loaded my save from a few days ago that was using the featured ruler. Everything worked fine back then. When it finished loading today, a pop-up opened explaining that the event was done but I could still play. Everything worked fine until I tried to open the menu with the ESCAPE button, which caused a CTD.

Steps to reproduce the issue.
1) Start a featured ruler game.
2) Wait until the event is over.
3) Load the save from the event.
4) Open the menu

Thank you! I could not reproduce the crash with your steps to reproduce (loaded the save, let the game progress and opened the escape menu). Was this a one time crash or does it happen every time you load the save and open the menu?

That's pretty funny. The new update seems to have solved it. If I roll back, it's still an issue but not with the latest patch.
