Please explain your issue is in as much detail as possible.
Amalfi doesn't have any de jure kingdom and empire in 769 and 867, while in 936 it does.
I assume it should have the same de jure duchy of Amalfi > Kingdom of Sicily > Byzantine Empire it currently have in 936 but apparently something went wrong.

Steps to reproduce the issue.
Start a new game in either 769 or 867 and Amalfi desn't have any de jure kingdom/empire listed, as shown in the screenshot.
In 936 everything is as it should be (I guess).

I can confirm this. I guess it has something to do that Amalfi has de jure land in earlier centuries.

I thought it was something like that but the duchy of Amalfi still have de jure land in 936 and everything is fine. My guess is that the Iron Century update broke something in the history files
