Please explain your issue is in as much detail as possible.
CK2 does not seem to use the "active" Mac sound output device after the output device is changed.

For example, if the game is running with the sound outputting from the "MacBook Pro Speakers" device, and you were to plug in a set of headphones, or connect Bluetooth headphones, this new device is ignored by CK2. Other sounds from the Mac use this new output device, but CK2 continues to output from the previous device.

If you were to start the game up with a set of headphones connected, and then disconnect them, you lose audio altogether.

Tested:

* with DLC and without
* with mods and without
* Mac OS Mojave and Mac OS Catalina
* Verified the issue doesn't exist with other Steam games (including EU4).

Steps to reproduce the issue.
* Start CK2 on Mac
* Ensure you can hear sound from the speakers
* Plug in headphones, or connect headphones via Bluetooth

Expected result:

CK2's audio plays out of the newly connected headphones.

Actual result:

CK2's audio continues to play out of the speakers, but other Mac sounds play out of newly connected headphones.
