Please explain your issue is in as much detail as possible.
When my character died, his wife was pregnant with his child. Upon inheriting, my new character's mother had a son (my brother and new heir). Rather than following his father's dynasty, he follows his mother's dynasty, presumably because his father is dead, though he was undoubtedly the father (husband and wife were lovers).
When the baby is born, it states "A son was born to Count William of Eu and Princess Gytha of England, named Swegen." Despite the statement that he is my father's son, he is still listed as part of House Godwin (not de Normandie).
HIP is installed, though it is unlikely to be the root cause.
Steps to reproduce the issue.
I have reloaded saves, and each time the result is the same: my brother is listed as part of my mother's dynasty, not my own.
