CK II Crashing after launch

Hey

just dowloaded and installed CKII and at the end of the intallation I got the following error:

A newer version of Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable has been detected on the machine.

Then when I tried to launch the game it crashes immediately.

These are my PC specs:

Intel® Core™i7-2600k Quad Core (3.40GHz, 8MB Cache) + HD Graphics
ASUS® P8P67 (NEW REV 3.0): USB 3.0, SATA 6.0GB/s, CrossFireX™
2GB NVIDIA GEFORCE GTX 560 Ti - 2 DVI,HDMI,VGA - 3D Vision Ready
16GB KINGSTON HYPER-X GENESIS DUAL-DDR3 1600MHz, X.M.P (4 x 4GB KIT)
Sound Blaster® X-Fi™ Titanium
Windows 7 64-bit

There is some information about this in the Tech forum, but you can fix this by downloading the Visual C++ package. Here is the link:

The game should work fine after you have installed this. If not, check out the tech section.

Hey,

thank you very much for the advice.
I tried downloading Visual C++ form the link suggested and reinstalled it.
That has stopped the error message but sadly CK2 still crashes just after launch.

Any other suggestion ?

The next suggestion would be download and install this: http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?id=35

Those would be the two most common solutions.
