Please explain your issue is in as much detail as possible.
As Emperor of Britannia, I ask the Pope to crown me, and he ask for a war which I agree to but the game IMMEDIATELY reports "The xyz British Palal war abc has ended inconclusively (Casus Belli not longer valid)."

Steps to reproduce the issue.
Ironman game mode so not much I can try other than to keep asking for a coronation and see what happens. Its happend 3 time in a row so far.

Uploaded. Its an ironman unfortunately so I dont have an earlier save.

I once had the same issue. As far as I can remember this can happen when target only holds some baronies and not a single county of the targeted area (Papal States Kingdom). The CB seems to check for the counties owner religion, and if this religion is the same as of the Pope, the war ends.

If it happens again I'll take a closer look, but even if thats the case, that'd be considered a bug I think?
