Short summary of your issue
AI Basque rulers enact the ahistorical Gender Equal Succession Law

Game Version
Corvus (1.3.0) 7f4e

What OS are you playing on?
Windows

What platform are you using?
Steam

Do you have mods enabled?
No

Have you tried verifying your game files (Steam only)?
Yes

How much "pain" is this causing you?
10

Please explain the issue you experienced in the most condensed way possible
Basque Catholic rulers start with the Male preference law. However, as soon as they have 500 prestige and the consent of the Powerful Vassals the AI Rulers enact the Gender Equal law. This is not historical as none of the Historical Basque states ever practiced this kind of succession.
Aragonese, Catalan and Occitan rulers have also access to the Equal law via the Visigothic codes innovation but the AI Characters do not enact it unless their Faith is Equal too.
Please, as a Navarrese I ask you to fix this., or at least introduce a game rule so that people can enjoy a historically realistic Navarre while having Achievements and Multiplayer.

Please explain how to reproduce the issue
1. Start the game as observer.
2. Go to Navarra.
3. Wait a bit (a year or so)
4. The King of Navarra would have enacted the Equal Gender Law.

Is there anything else you think could help us identify/replicate the issue?
It is caused by this lines of script in Crusader Kings III\game\common\laws\01_title_succession_laws.txt

Lines 519-527:

Code:
ai_will_do = {
			if = {
				limit = {
					primary_title.tier > tier_county
					has_culture = culture:basque
				}
				value = 2
			}
		}
            }
I trying removing them and it works. AI characters remain as "Male preference" if their religion is Male dominated.
The option to enact the Equal Law is still there if the player wants to make that decision as this is the case for Aragonese, Catalan and Occitan, who also can enact the Equal law.

If you want a response to be actually considered by them you probably shouldn’t put a deliberately coded decision by the coders in the bug fixes section, especially on the day of a major update

Estonian longboats guy got his wish in this patch, so I have very high hopes that you, Basque gender law guy, will soon be similarly rewarded for your perseverance.

Come on now, @King Anund. This is the fourth time you make a report on this same issue: one two three

Considering that they put this in specifically for Basque culture in both CK2 and CK3 I strongly doubt it's a bug. It seems like a deliberate design decision to me.

It is. But some time ago I read that historical errors could be reported here.
I know I may be annoying, but if I a person for Navarre and one that studied History doesn't do this, who is going to do it?
This is but a very small change that will make the region believable and not break my immersion every time I play.
In CK2 they did it well, thats why I didn't complain then. You as a player had access to Equal law but the AI while Catholic didn't change it. That way the situation remained as in History unless you acted upon it.
