Short summary of your issue
Becoming Malnourished gives the Obese notification.

Game Version
1.5.0.1

What OS are you playing on?
Windows

What platform are you using?
Steam

What DLC do you have installed?
Royal Court,

Do you have mods enabled?
No

Have you tried verifying your game files (Steam only)?
Yes

How much "pain" is this causing you?
1

Please explain the issue you experienced in the most condensed way possible
I caught consumption. (Ironically, the same day I revoked my son's title as Bohemia. Divine retribution?)

I had my physician treat the symptoms, but I later become malnourished. I had a thing appear at the top of the screen saying I was obese, but I had the malnourished health modifier instead. The notification basically seemed swapped. I THINK when I recovered it said I was no longer obese, which was obviously incorrect. (I was actually no longer MALNOURISHED, I never became obese.)

Please explain how to reproduce the issue
Lose weight.

Is there anything else you think could help us identify/replicate the issue?
Presumably the notifications for becoming malnourished/obese got swapped around somehow. Consumption making you malnourished seems like correct behavior though. It's just the text that's wrong.

I have attached a save game
No

That's just how anorexia works. You think you're obese when you're not. Although probably a little too realistic for it to be a feature, so ya, bug.

Can confirm, the same thing happened to me, also due to consumption (may be part of the bug... but that's probably just a particularly reliable way to become malnourished).

I can't say anything about recovery because I became infirm at about the same time while also malnourished, tuberculose-d and in my 70s, so I guess that was the game's way of saying that I didn't need the Know Thyself perk after all.

Death must have won that chess match. Now I'm curious if (actually) becoming obese instead gives you the malnourished notification.

Hi there @Toybasher!

Thanks for the report, could you please send us your save file so we could investigate the issue?
I sadly don't have the save with me. Was an ironman game.

I've reproduced the bug though on a new save using console commands for you, which I have attached pretty much right after the "You have become obese" notification pops.

The following was done:

1: Started new game as duke of Bohemia (1066) in debug mode.

2: Console commands were used to give my character the highest strength trait (so he wouldn't die prematurely, as I don't know how to make someone immortal.) and consumption. (I don't know any other ways to rapidly lose weight, even with console commands.)

3: Time was fast forwarded (+ a hunt to speed the weight loss along) until I became malnourished and the "obese" notification procced.

Note that because of the nature of the notification, you'll probably only see it if/when when my character recovers from malnourished. (Because the initial "You are obese!" notification vanishes by itself, so I don't know if it'll still be there when you load the save.) Try using the console to remove his consumption, and then do the "Gain Weight" decision. It'll end up saying he is no longer obese.

If my save isn't helpful, you can follow my steps to make it happen on a fresh save.

EDIT: I checked the save and found a better way to reproduce it reliably.

1: Load my save.

2: The character is malnourished from consumption.

3: Choose to gain weight and hold a feast. You'll become no longer malnourished. (And the correct notification appears.)

4: Choose to stop gaining weight. Due to consumption you'll become malnourished again, and the incorrect "You are obese!" notification will appear.
