Please explain the issue you experienced in the most condensed way possible
I'm pretty sure that commanders cannot also be knights. Especially not knights in armies that are in a completely different area to the army that they are supposedly commanding.
Here I had 1 army which I split in the middle of a siege so I could continue the siege at a reasonable pace while heading north and attacking an enemy army.
I noticed that the guy I appointed as commander of army 2 was still a knight with the first army doing the siege. So this guy was leading a battle as a commander in one barony, while taking part in a siege as a knight in a completely different barony at the same time.
I loaded a previous save and sure enough doing the same thing worked again. I don't have the original but the test save file is included and should be fully reproduceable.
Please explain how to reproduce the issue
Open provided save file. Use the army to lay siege to Corabia. While sieging, pause the game and manually split off a new army. I used the top 5 regiments on the list excluding the siege weapons but i doubt it makes a difference.
Select the new army from within the "split off army" screen. While still paused, appoint Mikulas as commander of the new army and send it west to fight the enemy army in carafat.
Mikulas should be leading the second army while still beseiging as a knight. He remains a knight in army 1 even after the siege has ended or the army moves.
Is there anything else you think could help us identify/replicate the issue?
See above. If I had to guess, I'm saying whoever programmed the game to remove an appointed commander as a knight forgot to say the game should also do that if he gets appointed head of a different army to the one he is already in.
I have attached a save game
Yes
