My current ruler inherited the Kingdoms of Denmark, Noregr and Danelaw on 6 October 926. I later also obtained the Kingdom of England, leading to the de jure unification of Danelaw and England. The event info stated that this would also mean unification of the title histories of the two Kingdoms. On inspection of the new, unified Kingdom of England title, the game accordingly recognizes that my ruler is now considered to have obtained it on 6 October 926, when he originally inherited the Kingdom of Danelaw. However, when I got past 6 October 956, expecting to be able to take the 'Secure the High Kingdom of the North Sea' event, the decision menu still stated that I didn't meet all the requirements: every other box was correctly checked except for 'Kingdom of England held for 30 years'.
It seems that the decision tool recorded the date on which I formed the Kingdom of England (which was later than 6 October 926) and didn't update the information when the departition event retroactively changed the title history. I'm assuming this is not how it's supposed to work, or the whole integration of the two title histories would be kind of pointless?
While this doesn't destroy the entire game for me, it certainly makes me unwilling to continue with this particular saved game.
Please explain how to reproduce the issue
Prerequisites: I assume you have to be playing with a Norse and/or Ásatru ruler, but I don't know for sure.
1. Conquer/form the Kingdom of Danelaw first. Make a note of the date on which this happens, for example 6 October 926.
2. After that, conquer/form the Kingdom of England (while still holding Danelaw), leading to the departition of England event. Check the title history of the Kingdom of England to confirm that the date of acquiring it matches the date you got the Kingdom of Danelaw (for example 6 October 926).
3. Keep your current ruler alive & in control of the unified Kingdom of England for 30 years, without forming any Empire, counting from the date they first gained the Kingdom of Danelaw title. (So if they received the title on 6 October 926, until 6 October 956.)
4. Check the 'Secure the High Kingdom of the North Sea' decision from the decisions menu, to see whether or not the 'Kingdom of England held for 30 years' condition is marked as fulfilled.
For science, it would probably be useful, at step 2, to also make a note of the date on which the Kingdom of England is actually acquired (as opposed to the retrofitted title history produced by the departition). Then, after step 4, you could wait until 30 years has passed from this second date (assuming that the current ruler can be kept alive & in control of England), to see if the requirement box will become checked then, or if the decision tool is altogether broken on that part. (Would test this myself, but my current ruler will be dead within a year
)
DISCLAIMER: Given that this requires quite a bit of time and effort, I haven't tried reproducing the issue myself yet, so I don't know whether or not it happens every time or whether there are some other specific circumstances that affect the result.
