Windows

What platform are you using?
Steam

What DLC do you have installed?
None

Do you have mods enabled?
No

Have you tried verifying your game files (Steam only)?
Yes

How much "pain" is this causing you?
10

Please explain the issue you experienced in the most condensed way possible
Populist revolts resolve incorrectly when vassals are members of the faction. See the attached examples for details.

Please explain how to reproduce the issue
I have included a save file which includes a problematic faction. Simply character switch to the HRE and surrender to the active populist revolt. I have also included a second save file showing the results I get when surrendering.

Is there anything else you think could help us identify/replicate the issue?

I have attached a save game

Here we see the faction in question. The Carantanian Catholic Populists consists of the following members:

-The county of Kranj, which is Carantanian.
-The county of Dannenburg, which is Polabian.
-The county of Osterland, which is Polabian.
-The county of Magdeburg, which is Polabian.
-The King of Bohemia, who is Bohemian.
-The Duke of Verona, who is Carantanian.
-The populist leader Rostislav who is Polabian.

When we surrender, we observe the following outcomes:

-Rostislav is granted the kingdom of Bavaria. It exists entirely in the de jure kingdom of Germany, and contains no part of the de jure Kingdom of Bavaria He is given direct control of 15 counties.

BUG: Clearly, this is not the correct kingdom to be handing out here. I suspect the source of the issue is that the county of Kranj, which is in the Kingdom of Bavaria, is part of the faction, and the game gets confused.

BUG: This is ostensibly a Carantian revolt, but the leader and the resulting kingdom are Polabian.

Next, we have a newly independent ruler in the region of Kranj. She is Bavarian culture, and is made independent of the new King due to being disconnected.

BUG: A Carantanian revolt in Kranj should not result in a new Bavarian ruler. It should clearly result in a Carantian leader. I suspect this occurs either because it looks at the Kingdom of Bavaria to determine the culture of this new character, or because it looked at the county of Leibnitz, which is actually Bavarian and is part of this lady's new realm. Leibnitz is not part of the revolt, and should not determine the ruler's new culture.

Next, we have the situation in Verona. Recall that the Duke of Verona was a member of the faction. He is deposed. The duchy of Verona is destroyed. A new randomly generated character is given his counties. This character is Cisalpine.

BUG: Faction members should not lose their territory for winning.

Finally, we have the king of Bohemia. Nothing happens to him. He remains a vassal of the HRE.

BUG: The king won his revolt. He should be made independent (or something!). I suspect the issue here is that the faction logic tries to make him a vassal of the newly-formed country (Kingdom of Bavaria), but they are the same rank, and so that cannot be done. There simply is no back-up plan for this possibility, so the war has no effect on him.

Overall, it seems that every single member of the faction has had the wrong outcome applied to them. Nothing has worked as intended.
