Does anyone know why the CK wiki's down? I was just working on it then it suddenly stopped.
I'm not sure. My guess would be routine maintenance or a DOS/bandwidth issue spawned by the other wikis hosted by the site.

Anyway, it's back up now & thanks for adding new content. :)

Also, I just realized we should be able to salvage some of the old stuff from the Encyclopaedia CK via www.archive.org. Unfortunately, the Great Firewall seems to have eaten it (although maybe it's just having bandwidth issues of its own?)

One more question- how do I view all of my "subscribed threads" which shows me all the topics I've posted in? I've done it before but I can't remember how it works, plus there's some old info there I'm looking up.

Click on "User CP" in the top left of the forum layout, then there's a menu called "List Subscriptions"

No prob, I'm happy to add new content. I decided to do it when I learned that class power can impact one's tech research. Besides that I'd like to make the wiki more newb-friendly to attract more players to the game. More is merrier- more sales, more people playing and working on mods and more likelihood of a sequel. For instance, EU3 players might be attracted to the game to convert countries over and expand their starting position in the game. Plus I'm doing it for my benefit as well to help me access information easily and instantly when needed.

I'm slowly adding new content to the wiki. Aside from filling in the section on the converters and linking to all of the other wikis out there and maybe doing an England/"self-imposed gamer rules" guide, I think that's it.

But there there are several areas where I could use help if anyone else wants to lend a hand somewhere as I'm almost finished adding in the parts I want to add in....

1. http://editthis.info/CrusaderKings/Technology_Creation

For some reason I'm really terrible at editing the db files for tech into the wiki. I tried- and failed- to do the bows one. If anyone wants to help fill in the rest it'd be greatly appreciated, as I really, really, really never plan on trying to fill in anymore tech ones.

2. LIST OF USELESS TECHS.

Some techs don't do anything. (Academic Disciplines) A complete list of these could be handy. This could also help modders for converters who could then proceed to make these techs give bonuses in the sequel to actually make them wortwhile. (for instance, making "Academic Disciplines" count to +1 level in government tech in the sequel)

3. EXPLANATION OF HOW EACH OF THE 4 GROUPS- AND THEIR POWER LEVEL- IMPACTS THE GAME.

Income effect, loyalty effect, troop compostion, tech discovery/spread, events, etc.

4. SPECIAL TRAITS GUIDE FOR BEATIFIED, CANONIZED AND EMPEROR.

5. MORE COUNTRY GUIDES.

Something to help players along!

GUIDE ON BECOMING PAPAL CONTROLLER AND IT'S EFFECTS. (DONE)

GUIDE ON ACQUIRING PRESTIGE. (DONE)

GUIDE ON EFFECTS OF HIGH AND LOW PRESTIGE AND PIETY. (DONE)
