I bought Crusader king back in 2005. I only played it a bit, before wandering back to EU2, who was the lastest of the EU series back then. Now I'm considering giving CK a go again.

What is the largest difference between CK1 and CK2? Is it worth buying CK2 or should I just play CK1 that I already own(less money spend).

I also own EU3 complete. I know you could transfer CK to EU2, can you also transfer it to EU3 or do you need CK 2 to transfer to EU3?

CK2 has yet to be released

The releasedate currently known is Q1-2012.

My friend, you realize that CK2 will not be out until early 2012? I would recommend getting back into CK in the meantime. Look into the excellent mods (near overhauls) that are hosted on this site. My personal favorite is the Alternative Scenario Setup (TASS), with some alterations for personal taste. Also check out the unofficial converters for EU3: IN or EU3: HTTT (the latter is very well coded particularly in regards to the Holy Roman Empire political options that HTTT adds). Just remember that unlike EU3, CK mods overwrite the original game files so be careful what you install.

Cheers,
The Rooster

If you have CK and some spare bucks, then seriously consider buying Deus Vult expansion pack. It add alot to the original game. If you don't want to do that, then just remember to update CK to v1.05.

Mods for the original CK might be a bit harder to find though, and am not sure Veld did make TASS for CK.

CK ( + DV) should be able to keep you entertained until 2012 ;) ... and remember to check back here during development to read DDs, so you can get a sense of what is coming in the next version.

I would definitely recommend getting Deus Vult.

I also really like the DVIP.

DVIP is very good, and I haven't played TASS, but it's supposed to be amazing as well. I just can't wait for one of the two to integrate the new Mappa Regnorum map mod, because it looks sooo good. Whichever one is the first to integrate that mod is the one I will switch too.

Then that will be DVIP, since with the announcement of CK2 I don't plan on updating TASS with the new map. :)

Yes, I know CK2 is still far away, but updating it takes a lot of time.
