First of all im a total noob when it comes to pc gaming, just want to mention it before the "how do you not know the exact specs" mob comes for me with torches and pitchforks.

ive played ck2 for a few months now, mostly without bugs, but sometimes suddenly the whole game just freezes up. the sound stops, the screen freezes and i cant move the mouse.

i also cant open the task manager, and the only way to get out is to just manually shut down the PC, which is obviously not great. The crashes mostly happen just after autosaving, sometimes completely randomly.

Sometimes I can play for 6 hours without any issues, sometimes the pc crashes after 20 minutes of running the game.

Ive tried turning down the graphics settings, but it didnt help, and i dont thing graphics is really the issue here. This computer manages to run skyrim on the highest graphics setting with a shitton of mods without any problems.

in ck2 I dont have any total conversion mods installed, ive tried disabling all mods but the computer still crashed.

I'm running windows 8 if this is relevant, unfortunately i dont know any specifics cause it is just my parent's computer.

Please report the temperatures of your CPU and video (GPU)
1/ before starting the game up and
2/ after say 10 minutes' play.
If your PC's vendor has given you no way of reading temperatures, install
SPEEDFAN http://www.almico.com/sfdownload.php

DXDIAG is a program you run from a command prompt or the Windows start menu 'run' dialog box (or 'search programs' in Windows 7 or later). After running it will open a window and start collecting info with a progress bar in the lower-left corner. When it completes click the 'save all information' button and save it to a file then attach that file here.

Please attach your Documents/Paradox/CK2/settings.txt.
From your Documents/Paradox/CK2/logs/ folder, attach system.log .
