CK2 loading screen not visible but sound playing.

This is more of a cry for answers rather then an immediate fix. When I press play on the launcher for ck2, EUIV, HoI4 etc if the game is in fullscreen mode it will not show anything visible but the sound will immediately play, task manager then says the program is not responding at all and will not do anything no matter how long I wait.

Thing is, if you set it to borderless mode it will work perfectly fine and load right away. What's the issue at hand on all of these games? I do have currently a dual monitor set up but I've had this issue in the past with these games prior to the issue on my old computer which had only one monitor. I'm running on a new up to date rig with a ryzen 7 2700x and an RTX 2080.

This is an issue between the nVidia 2xxx drivers and recent Windows 10 updates. It used to occur with the 1xxxx cards too but they seem to have fixed that.

Thank you so much for the reply! At least I still have a way of playing these magnificent games so that's okay. Thank you for the answer though because it was bugging me so much!
