I'm really getting tired of all this drama. Definitions of words change, Deus Vult used to be historical phrase, but now its not. Like it or not, any language used to exclude or insult people based on race is hate speech.

It's complete nonsense. Sure, I'm also annoyed by what has happened, but there is no way I'll boycott CK3. Not to mention CK2, which has nothing to do with this.

People just got the game for FREE, as well as many substantial FREE updates over the last year. And they boycott a game, because another game got them riled up?
Idiotic.
 
Is this all really about RockPaperShotgun saying that Deus Vult wouldn't be in CK3? God Almightly. Deus Vult only even appears in two event option localizations in CK2. Even if they don't put that text in CK3 it will have zero effect on the game.

There's a mega-thread if you want to get into this hatchet-fight. This thread is about whether people bombing CK2's steam reviews if they disagree is sensible or not, not about whether they should disagree.

Personally I think it's probably a bad idea to do that because, among other things, of what it'd probably look like to someone who had no idea what was going on. Probably it'd make the people responding look like a bunch of trolls and provoke stupid arguments over misunderstanding.

There are a lot of Deus Vult comments and negative reviews. It already 66% positive reveiws for past days compared to 88% total. Please stop it. CK2 is great game and it have nothing with CK3 bad decisions.

I expected more from the community, but I guess it's just as pathetic as the others.
 
I did not ever really notice the word emphasized any where before. Nor will I notice it not being used. Game still has crusades and Jihads I imagine right? though honestly not sure they were very fun feeling anyway.

Those people are trolls. It's clearly coordinated so I suggest finding the forum or discord where people decided that doing this was the right reaction. Wouldn't be surprised if the place of origin of this "raid" is not a CKII community at all.

The 'value' of steam reviews exposed. Honestly, nowadays user reviews aren't worth the paper they're not printed on - it's either 10/10 or it's 'the developers are worst than Hitler'.

A couple of the images above involve people with 4000+ hours. Heck, I don't even have 4k+ hours. Even if they aren't a CK2 or paradox community, obviously some of them play the game significantly.

"Trolls" who own and play the game and have tons of hours played. Sure, go check how many of Deus Vult comments have "Recieved item for free".
 
If you had any doubts at all that "Deus Vult" had been co-opted by the alt-right, the fact that RT is upset about this is your proof. Their whole MO is to inflame the alt-right in the US into more and more reactionary politics.
