Hi all,

My auto updates have always worked just fine. I have beta enabled, etc., etc.

But this one particular update will not happen. I had been away from the game for a period of time. I fired up Steam, made sure I was online and started CK2 and it is at 2.8.1.1.

I have "keep this game always updated" on.
I have the beta enabled.

I am not sure what else to check. I have all of the DLC, etc. so I am hoping a full uninstall and reinstall is not going to be needed.

Is there someway to force the system to check for an update?

Regards,

Okay and thanks. I will try that - but i really don't understand.

I have never had to toggle 'beta' on and off to have the latest Steam game that I own, or the one that I am a beta-tester for.

Having the 'keep my game fully updated' and the beta both on should result in my game being updated to the latest version regardless of whether it is 'beta' or
released'. It should look as to which is the most recent and update to that.

Since I have had CK 2 on Steam i have never had to toggle the beta on and off, but have always had the most recent release.

If you opt into the beta, then you get the most recent beta not the current public version. It just happens to be at present there is no beta available newer than the current public version.
