Just wondering: Do our debates here affect how the game will turn out? Will we get any feedback from the developers if our ideas and suggestions are/will have an impact?

Well, I would not say that's our purpose with opening up forums early (the CK2 design is done and we are happy with it.) We just want the community to thrive. However, it is very interesting to see if your ideas are similar to ours, which might indicate whether a feature will be popular or not. Of course, sometimes someone comes up with a new idea that is both brilliant and fits our own design philosophy, in which case we might add it in. We've picked one such from this forum so far. :)

As for the idea of a dungeon... well, I did design that feature for Vae Victis. I think it is a reasonable assumption that certain features from EU:Rome might make it into CK2...

What Doomdark wrote, and I am always interested in what the forum thinks about the events; how they should look, what they should cover and if you have any good suggestions I might even consider adding them... ;) I try to read every thread about events at this forum just to get some good ideas and so far I've got plenty.

Pdox is doing the right thing, it's certainly best to have a definitive design structure set out and then stick to it. I fear that if Pdox do happen to take up lots of the community's ideas, then we'd likely end up with a very messy and schizophrenic game.

So were's the events megathread were I can write my great ideas? Like that event with your daughter and your rival's son fall in love, you deny their marriage and they kill themselves?.. Or some usurper becomes mad and thinks that forest attacks his castle?..

I think those are more suited to a Shakespeare mod. ;)

Some of the ideas we have now could possibly end up being implemented in MoDs that anyways will be created, or in a possible expansion. I think Paradox already have decided what Vanilla will be like.

Well, I trust the Devs that they'll sort out the ideas not fitting in the concept. ;)

Yeah, we're sort of like the urban rabble crowded outside the Papal Conclave. Every now and then a guy in red pokes his head out the window and gives us an idea of what's going on inside. We'll see what ideas become part of canon law and what remains part of local traditions, to be worked out by the laypeople. :)

There was a Romeo and Juliet event sequence in CK1DV, so it might re-appear in CK2.
