I’m stunning impressed by the monumental undertaking of finding all these +1000 or more Coats of Arms. Now that must have been some real work!
Never the less I could not help smile a little when I saw the CoA selected for Denmark and its counties. I’ve seen all these pictures before… literally the exact same pictures used in the game I have seen before.
So Paradox did not make them from scratch, big deal. And while this following text has absolute no game-play value (who cares if some image is not exactly correct), I never the less would like to put a word forward about the CoA used by Denmark and counties.
Sjælland
The current used image for Sjælland is this one;
This is the 1970(something)-instituted shield for ‘Roskilde’ City. Again this is not just a look-alike, but the exact one!
The seal is correct and have changed very little since the oldest known one (1286). I know Copenhagen is nothing but a little city in the 12th century, so picking Roskilde as ’sjælland’ is not a bad choice at all.
I don’t see any need to change this; never the less here is some examples.
