Cognatic Pirate Succession

Currently, Pirate realms will dissolve if the heir is not a capable adult male. This should probably have an exception if the heir is a capable (i.e. right stats) adult female and the realm is of a culture (e.g. Rhoynar) that traditionally accepts female succession.

I'm not sure about this, just because your ruler is rhoynar doesnt mean all the pirates in your fleet are neccessarily rhoynar as well. May perhaps looking at basing it on the culture of your capital.

I'd even go as far as to say that women should be permitted to inherit if they had even higher stats, to compensate for the populance looking down on their gender. For example requiring 14 stats rather than 10, or double the prestige a man would require, or being formidable fighters.

Ha, I was thinking of a combination of those - some sort of two-tier succession system for cognatic Rhoynar pirates. I wouldn't extend it to regular pirates, but wouldn't really be against that either as long as it's designed more for the player than the AI.

Not sure if that just makes a complicated system more complicated, but if it's doable that's what I'd like to see.
