Sure, its really early to talk about it. But i wonder how many of us , especially wargamers would rather have this in Cold War setting with same level of realism. The philosophy of steel division is certainly interesting and less unicorn-y than Wargame series. Since the game has better mod support than Wargame, I really hope there would be a Cold War variant.

We're still not entirely sure on how different Steel Division is from Wargame. If the infantry mechanics are significantly improved( which is necessary to have a good WW2 game), it would make this game suitable to explore some lower-key less-mechanized Cold War conflicts such as Korea and Vietnam. The scale also appears to be slightly smaller scale than Wargame.

I'd still prefer an earlier period than what we have in Wargame now, even if we get a Steel Division: Europe Cold War. Maybe Steel Division: Germany 1960? Or maybe we can explore more obscure scenarios with less mechanized nations(Something that Graviteam Tactics does). I'd love South Africa vs Angola+Cuba in the 80s(Graviteam Tactics has explored this scenario)
