As the 1946 scenario is close to a release(need events and few tech), I decided to launch a mod,this time much more intestering.
Colonization:Africa is a mod-scenario that starts in 1879 and ends in 1902,with the defeat of the burs.
There will be 20 countries, such as France,UK,Spain,Belgium but also african peoples or nations(Liberia,Ethiopia,Zulu, other states)
This scenario will simulate a colonial battle between the european countries.
Status:
Well almost nothing is done..When i get the map done I will start the tech and units.I think that this will be the hardest part of the mod.The last part will be with events.
Is a huge project, but I hope I will get it done before 2007.I'm sure that I will need help with events,tech,units and research.Mostly the research and tech-units part.

hmmmm, I've had thoughts of trying to do this before though I never got started (never could find much help on some projects I tried). I might be able to help out, though I can't gurentee anything with school just having restarted. I would be interested though.

Basiclly I can do most stuff except:

-major graphics editing (I can do unit pictures, ministers and little stuff)
-AI (anyone can do it but its kinda hard to get it right)

Everything else I've done many times and can do it just fine
 
I suggest A LOT more unit-models. And 1 tree for colonialists and one for africans.

My plans of releasing public parts:

very soon I will present the complete set of events for Colonization:Africa.
Presenting unit names and perhaps models,after that
A full preview with screens,etc.
 
When you need my help just ask and I'll see what I can do (though time is VERY hard to find in my senior year.....)

I could code leaders if I had a good list of them, sine thats a fairly important thing to have even early on.
 
1st preview:Colonial Power,part 1

So,I'll present you Colonization:Africa's first preview:Colonial Power,part 1.Every european nation in this mod(England,Germany,Belgium,Netherlands,Spain,Portugal,France,Italy) will have an mother-city.If you ever play AoE3,you'll know what I mean.Let's choose,for exemple,England.It's mother city is London.This city CANNOT BE CONQUERED!!!Through events,the player will receive resources,blueprits,money,intelligence information and units.You can't trade these iteams with other nations.
Without these events,the player won't be able to keep up with AI...
Stay close to this thread,as in the following time you'll receive a new preview with provinces resources!

Leaders won't have green sight.
I want to start the tech tree,can you help me with that???
After that,i'm gonna make some models and events,and then we will release a beta for Colonization:Africa,if we have lot of luck...

sorry but I forgot to add that to my list of "things I cant do". I've tried modding the tech tree before and had some pretty bad results. Might wanna ask around for help with that.
 
Well,lot of time passed since I posted last time...no work done,nothing.This doesn't mean that the project is dead!I wait for the final shool week to start working on this.

I would like to help, I can do tech teams, leaders, ministers, event ideas, and unit placement, not much but I want to do what I can for this mod, it looks great
