Since most of the game period was not traversable, we've made it a separate wasteland. If, later in the future, we could have the tech allowing us to change map properties, we could make it so it changes with an event.

Dogs are the best! I often bring my 2 leonbergers to the office.

I do like cats as well, but they are not exactly family members that join travelling, but more cute pest control. My now oldest cat used to catch so many rodents to teach her kittens how to hunt when we lived in the archipelago outside of Stockholm.

And funnily enough some are good enough at complaining that the devs PAY them to get their complainings. I heard they're called QA.
