Computer extremely slow while game running in background

If I alt+tab out of the game, my computer is basically frozen. Even typing letters on the keyboard has about a one-second delay between each key.

It's good to know that there's a workaround, but this is a brutal bug when you encounter it. I hope that it gets fixed.

Upon further review, the workaround is not acceptable. I am not able to scroll the map with the mouse cursor near the edges. In general, windowed mode does not work well for this game.

Really? I could Alt+Tab out of the Warlock 1 fine. In fact, in almost every game I did, just to look at the wiki.

EDIT: It just occurs to me you were probably talking about the map scrolling.
