Hello all,
I strongly feel that the great conferences of WWII are lacking from the game and rather than sulk about it I have decided to actually get out of the seat and try to accomplish something on my own.
However I am sadly no master of HoI-scripting. Yet, at least. So I would love to have someone take a look at my sketchy outline.
What I have done so far:
I have made Federal Germany (U00) and Republican Germany (U01) and included them in revolt.txt. They release just nicely.
I have also made a few provisional events for "Germany divided" and "Germany reunified". They also seem to fire appropiately.
I have also made some research. I have in mind to include four series of events at least for now. The first is Casablanca. The outcome of this conference is either a unified Allied front (and happy USSR) or lack of Allied determination (with fury from the Soviets). If the outcome of this conference is historical there will be no attempts at conditional surrender from Germany. Otherwise they might (will) attempt a conditional surrender later if under pressure. The second is the Jalta conference where Poland is decided. There is prestige at stake for both UK (who went to war over Poland) and USSR (who have them in the backyard). The third is a series called "The last days of Germany". These are some events where mass suicide is a weekly event for Germany and conditional surrender may come into question (and bring Germany into the Allies who then in turn will be at war with Comintern). Also it will set up for the last series where Europe is to be carved up. The last series is the Potsdam conference where the Iron curtain is drawn closed. The powers divide Europe into their Alliances and gain techs from German installations and experimental designs along the way (Maus prototypes found, rocketry installations and experiments located, metallurgy experiments uncovered etc.). Then it's just a matter on wether the Cold War gets hot.
I have uploaded my sketchy outline here:

Hope it makes sense.
I'd love to hear any comments you might have. Am I on the right track? Will this ever work? Is there any interest in this? Got any hot tips? Does it conflict with other works?
As it is evident I have chosen to work predominantly with the European theatre for now. However later the Cairo conference and the "Three Majors" standpoint on Japan and the Pacific may also come into play.
