Started as a game for members on Lime Island but since of lack of players there, I'm posting here too. :)

Sign up at Lime Island for further discussions.

Play time and day: Wednesday, 19:15-23:00 CET (maybe later)
Scenario: Peter Ebbessen 1492, EU2 1.08b

AAR thread: http://www.europa-universalis.com/forum/showthread.php?t=204611
Ruling and Rewards for AARs:
1492 - 1600: 300d
1600 - 1750: 500d
1750 - 1820: 800d

Rules*:

-No exploiting. Includes such things as rapidly switching between Counter Reformed Catholic and Catholic for the morale bonus while not suffering as much from techcosts increase. This also includes DoWing for increase in stab.

-Be nice.

-As a followup to that, be reasonable in peacedemands, and reasonable in giving up. Don't fight to death if you're clearly beaten, but don't destroy a nation simply because you are clearly more powerfull either. No province cap, but don't destory someones game in one go.

-Don't abuse the AI. No maptrading with the AI ever, don't ask Military access from the vassals of other Humans.

-No taking Persian, Han or Cantonese culture provinces untill 1650

-To cut down on time taken to do edits, all treaties and other edits will be done in game if possible.

- Random leaders are generated:

Code:
LT1	min	0	0
	avg	3	0
	max	5	0

LT2	min	0	0
	avg	2	1
	max	3	2

LT3	min	0	0
	avg	1	2
	max	2	3

LT4	min	0	0
	avg	0	3
	max	0	5

First is generals, second is admirals.
Average stats is 3.1, range from 2 to 5.
Average stats is 3.6 for last session, nappy times.

(note: rules subject to change)

Only quit:

-If you HAVE to, go ahead, but TRY to ensure we either get a sub arranged by you, or get time to arrange when. But when you must quit, it's ok.
-If you no longer feel like playing this single EU2 game. In general, make sure you have a new player for your nation, or just stay and (politely) adress what you think is wrong.
-If you quit EU2MP entirely. Still, make sure you have a new perm for your nation.
-ONLY quit in-session if you HAVE to, or if you get an irresistible urge to wreck your own nation. Losing a province should NOT be a good reason for it, though losing 20 provinces to a gangbang of half the world mght be valid. Still, attempt to ensure a smooth transition is possible.

Also, BE ON TIME. Waiting for 30 mins for people to show up sucks. If you say you'll be there at 19 CET (the time we'll assume for now) then try to be in the lounge at least at 1859. We want to play as much of 4 hours as possible.

we have no host yet.

And the game thread isn't necessarily at the other forum, I suppose, but if you wanna be in on all the secret planning ;)

And since Van Engel doesn't know my preferences yet: I'd prefer Sweden, followed by Brandenburg and Austria.

Cas: So no longer will subs ruin my diplomacy or trade, since it will be pratically non-exsistant. :D

Daniel A: It just started on that forum, but because of lack of players, we're posting here too. :)

Tonio: The times may change if there is enough demand for it, but 1 hour either way is ok for me.

On country picking, it's first come, first serve so everyone will get their first choice if it ain't already taken. I might change the rooster later depending on how well balanced (player wise) a region is.

Whoa, wednesdays and a replacement for DbD! Im in, preferably as Poland or Spain, but im fine with whats left over.

I'm interested too, but I am still recovering from EU2 burnout, so just give me either Denmark, Venice or Poland (in that order).

BTW, I would not recommend having Tonio as Austria with the current player setup.

I would join as Spain. Time could be a bit earlier if possible.

I think it would be great to have Tonioz in the game. Since it is summer and I do not work starting at 18.00 is all right with me. I could start any time of the day.

But I do not want quitters in the game. I am getting fed up with quitters. If a well-known quitter asks to play I believe he must first solemnly swear by his gods not to quit the game.

Who is a well-known quitter you may ask? Well, I will mention no names ;)

VanEngel. Let's start next Wednesday. State so clearly and assign nations and scenario. Get rid of all the loose ends, make the facts about the game established so people can give a rock-solid YES or NO. We can always discuss details later on.

Then tell all players to verify their participation by posting in the thread once more, e.g. not later than 24.00 next Tuesday.

me me me! I will take England If I may

Can i play with you guys? I can take England if it is free.

I´m interested. I´m presently playing in Dire Straits 2.
If still possible I´d like to join as the Netherlands or if they´re taken as Venice.
Let´s rock this joint ;)!

Daniel + PJL: Aye, I don't think Tonio in Austria will be great, without strong players around to keep him in check. Tonio, I'm thinking of putting you in BBurg to keep it abit more even.

G.D: England is already taken, but your free to sign up for something else. :)

All: I've slotted most of you in, based on your 1st or 2nd pick, but I may shuffle you around again when all places are gone. Plus we still lack a host... so if anyone could raise their hand who can host 10+ players? If not I'll cut the second list and shuffle around the guys who signed up first.

If only you had waited ... the NL is master of Indonesia now ;) .
Hey, atleast I don't have to play with you-know-who. ;) :p

Btw guys, I'm going camping this weekend (Friday till Tuesday) so after tonight Avernite will take over until I get back on tuesday night. :)

I don't understand much of this "positioning of strong players on the map" that occupies the minds of GMs.

If a strong player has "weak" neighbours then the other "strong" neighbours of those weak neighbours will presumably support the weak, since they have no interest in having the other strong player grow too much. Or perhaps they will eat the weak player themselves. ;)

Surely the "strong" players understands this basic of any BoP game, it only takes an IQ of around 80 or so after all :p

If Tonioz wants to play Austria, let him play it.

IMO BB is the least important nation. And NO, you do not need a BB to balance anything in the game. That balancing can be taken care of by the rest of the nations. In fact, you do not need any nation to balance any other nation in a EU MP with say 4+ big nations. It is only the lack of ability of the players to adapt to new circumstances that may stop them from act logically and make sure the power is balanced adequately.

well, it`s no problem for me, i`m ready for BRA.

I`m not warmonger style player, who annexes everything around, but as any other player, i like to expland "a bit" my borders, if i`m getting such possibility. Playing BRA is usually challenging depending on outcome support. It`s okay for me to be BRA in this game.
