Hi,

I recently bought EU: Rome Gold/Vae Victus from Steam. I've tried connecting to a friend's game for co-op, but it doesn't work. I get the message "Connecting. Game not found."

Now, the IP is correct, and the opened ports are all correct, because this is the exact same setup we use for EU3 (which uses the same ports), which we can play online with no problem. We've also tried the metaserver, but also can't connect from there.

Is this a common problem? Is there something I should be looking into?

Thanks :(

Hmm, the closest I can think of - and it isn't really helpful, I'm afraid - is when a few weeks ago one of the players in our MP game couldn't connect to me as host at all and hence got that standard error message, so we swapped to one of the other players and had him host instead, which worked without problems. (And a few week's later we swapped back to me hosting again).

I doubt this well help you, but just for fun: have you tried hosting yourself and having your friend join you? In other words, is this currently a one-way or two-way problem?
