Console Edition crashing to desktop upon launch

Hi.

I'm playing the console edition on Xbox One. It worked perfectly two days ago, but after not having played since then the game has started crashing to desktop immediately after the "preparing session" bar is filled. I can't even get to the main menu to press any buttons before it crashes.

I've cleared cache and reinstalled twice, to no avail. As the external harddrive the game was installed on was almost completely full, I've also tried moving it to the internal storage of the Xbox where I have 120gb free space to see if that helped but it has made no difference at all. Still crashes at the same exact spot. Any help would be appreciated.

As the game has not changed for some time, it's hard to understand why this is happening to you just now.

Did you go through this full process?

- uninstall the game from the XBox

- clear the XBox cache and game files (save game data)

My game worked perfectly two days ago. Tried starting up today, game loads up but when transitioning from the "preparing session" bar to the main menu it crashes to desktop.

3. What DLC do you have installed?
Leviathans, Plantoids, Utopia

4. When did this start happening?
Wednesday Sept 9th

5. Can you replicate it, if so, please explain how
Every single time I try to start the game

6. Does this happen on all saves or just specific ones?
The game crashes before even getting to the main menu.

7. What steps have you taken to try and solve this yourself (reinstall, Google error code etc)?

-Clearing cache and reinstalling, twice.
-Moved game installation from a full external harddrive to the internal storage on the xbox that has 120gb free space.

Oddly enough, the next day it worked perfectly again. No idea why, I hadn't changed anything in the interim.
