Hi there. Recently I bought me and my two friends Stellaris for the ps4 since it was half off ($20) on the PlayStation store for the holidays and I was extremely happy as I love RTS style games but don't own a PC. This is my first Grand 4x strategy game.

Sadly for some reason though, I'm only able to play with one of my two friends at the same time. The only time it worked was the first day we got it, but it hasent worked since then.

I'll invite Them into a lobby im hosting, one of them will join just fine doesn't matter who it is. But... as soon as the other person joins it kicks the other from the game with a 'connection lost' pop up. I've played separate games with them individually and it works no problem. I've also tried messing with my ps4 NAT and port forwarding but i don't really know what I'm doing and it didn't seem to fix anything when I tried.

What i find odd is I can join random open games in the lobby and join Just fine so i don't understand the issue. There also seems to be no info or anyone else with the console edition reporting this issue.
I'm hoping someone here can help me, I've put $100 into this and was really excited, I'm slowly becoming upset and ready to give up on this game since I bought it to play with my friends.
Thanks for reading hope y'all can help.

not sure if you fixed the problem

first and foremost this post would be better off in the console section of stellaris, as this is the pc area

outside of that

there's some small stuff you can try if the problem is still an issue

1) let your other friends host to see if the problem persists or if it is just on your end

2) if it is still an issue, try uninstalling and reinstalling the game [this would also apply to your friends]

3) if that doesn't fix the issue, you may want to contact sony support directly as they may offer other means to fix the situation [they may tell you to contact the devs, that will do nothing as likely the problem lies in either the game or your console]

4) as an absolute last ditch effort fix; you and your friends may have to resort to a factory reset of your systems [it is possible something got borked somewhere outside of the game files and is causing the problem, a factory reset would likely fix that]

5) in the event none of the above has solved the problem and it still persists I would then contact sony support and see about getting a refund. given the fact that the game no longer works 100% as intended even if it is past the refund date or play time refund you might still be able to get one; just be polite and explain the problem in full and all the steps you have taken with 0 change in the end result
