For console and PC vanilla players would it be possible to provide a new policy option for industry areas to allow mayors to toggle where processor buildings receive their raw products? The option would be 'Source raw materials from within industry area?' This could be a tick-box and when ticked it would only allow processors to receive their raw materials from local extractors in the same industry area and not from elsewhere in the city or imported from outside through air, rail and road.
I find this would be particularly useful for farming and forestry areas where I have plenty of extractors (fields and plantations etc) that would more than adequately supply the processors but they seem to export most of the products while the processors have to spend time waiting for raw materials to be imported from elsewhere. If the processors could be forced to only make the call for raw materials locally this would help with production rates.
This could also be an option to toggle for ore and oil industries but this may need to be used wisely by the player if playing the game where the ore and oil resources deplete over time.
