Did you follow the other advice about updating your drivers?

Please run a DirectX Diagnostic:
Start menu –Run - then type Dxdiag, then select each tab across the top of the window, and run the tests on each tab. Then select “Save All Information” button in the lower right of the window. This will bring up a dialog box to allow you to select a name for the file where the information will be saved. You can save it right on the desktop as this will make it easy to find. Then copy the contents of that file from the start to the heading that says “DirectX components” then paste what you have copied into a post in this thread.

Okay I notice two major problems.

1) You have bluetooth hooked up, Mircosoft is known to have made it dilerberately hard to work Bluetooth with widows, Since they were trying to introduce simmilar technology. :) -Is there anyway you can completely turn that off when running the game?

2) Your MB uses VIA chip set, sorry but these drivers are known to be buggy, and since you use WInXP you cannot switch to native windows drivers therefore you are stuck with it. Not much really you can do about it except avoid their products next time, and make sure you always have the latest driver. Really I can't beleive they can in good conscience still sell these things.

You may also want to take a look through jpd'd excellent FAQ on crashes in the Victoria Tech support forum. most or all of it applies to EU2 as well.

Well he did specifically say he tried it, so I assumed he was switching it back and forth when he played the game.

Well you should be able to play releativly bug free with XP, I know I do.

You could also install the latest beta patch and see what that does for you.

Ya you could also try the beta patches.
