You have VIA drivers, that is most likely the cause of your troubles.

VIA is known for having buggy drivers. :(

Go to there site and see if they may have a new set for you to try.

If you had any other operating system other than XP you would be okay since you could change to the windows drivers but you cannot do that with XP.
 
Start- run-then type Msconfig
Under the start tab what is listed?
 
Things are often not what they seem with computers.

I disabled all progrmas in the start up file and o still get the crash so must be the VIA chipset.

You cannot disable ALL of them.

I just asked what is listed there not for you to disable them.
