I tried this briefly in a game as France. With CG set at about 50% of need, the dissent was rising fairly quickly and soon exceeded 2, reaching 4 before I aborted the experiment. If there is an exploit, there must be more to it. Omni usually has a zero CG value for one thing so where does the assumption of 50% come from?Originally posted by joel
This is something I have verified in 4 different saves, which when viewed and played on show the same issue. This appears to only be present in MP games.
Essentially a player had his CG slider set to just over 1/2 of the required amount. Generally you would expect this to subsequently increase dissent until such a 'strategy' was no longer viable. However when set at 1/2 of the CG needs, the dissent actually rises to 2, and no higher. Subsequently, nations with high CG needs such as (but not only) the USA and SU are able to gain many, many IC's that would normally not be available, at an unrealistically early date. The 2 dissent is of little consequence compared to the major gains made by using these IC's for tech and unit building.
This only appears to be an MP issue, as the dissent increases as it should in SP.
Still puzzled.
