Hello again.
I found the following by doing a *search* using the button at top right (just a hint...:) :) )

Changes to Version 1.08

* The Tutorial can now be saved.
* The shortcut list for country selection has been removed because it grew too large and caused crashes.
* Two rather rare ingame crashbugs was hunted down and fixed.
* A crashbug in the frontend was fixed.
* A problem where you sometimes had to click twice in a listbox to select has been fixed.
* The amount of random events in a multiplayer game should now be the same as in a single player game.
* Chat now have priority, so you will not close windows while pressing return while in chat.
* The crashes in chat has now been removed.
* Fixed a bug that reversed the pirates land and naval technology.
* Space and return should no longer interfere with the chat selection.
* Conquistadors and explorers from random events will now die.
* If you are much ahead in tech tree historically, then costs will be much higher.
* Technology catchup was slightly tweaked.
* The AI will now be a bit more aggresive in non european CoTs.
* AI can no longer be bought off with white peace immediately if they attack you.
* The AI will no longer offer cash for a quick peace if he seems to be winning the war.
* A few minor bugs in the military AI were fixed, regarding priorities, garrisons and deployment.
* Bankruptcy now worsens inflation instead of decreasing it.
* Some improvements were made in the Russian and Turkish AI's.
* Statereligion tolerance can now be same as other religions.
* You can no longer get infinite money by switching religion back and forth.
* There should be no more missions for the year 3000.
* You will no longer worsen relations with your allies after you annex another country together.
* Assaults can no longer be called off.
* Some minor tweaks to diplomacy AI.
* Holstein and Kurland now turn protestant
* Games saved with previous versions are not compatible with 1.08

Yhanks for your comprehensive answer, ugly..

I'll install it as soon as I'll finished my first game.

However, I read that with the patch, the AI countries tend to be very harsh when it comes to peace negociations. Isn't it a problem (I mean aren't they unrealistically reluctant to accept/propose reasonnable peace agreement?)

Hey Laurent,

nice to see you on this side of the language barrier :D

No, they're not unrealistic, just less woosies...

Might want to wait for 1.09 though as Patric said it is in testing and should be out soon....

Well...Patrick said a couple of days, but if it's more like a month, I'll probably install the 1.08 instead of waiting for the 1.09.

Have you any more precise idea about the changes in this peace agreement stuff? Are the AI countries merely more picky? Or is it somewhat more subtle (for instance taking into account more elements like the overall situation as opposed to some short-term events like having lost a province or two)?

They are harder to get to sign peace treaties. sometimes too hard one can argue but it far outweighs the previous patch where the AI accepted near everything. It still needs soem tweaking but it's the best I have yet seen.

Hu ?
Where ?

I shure Patric is better informed then me though =)
Just find it a bit odd that I/we have not seen RC yet and a latest "complaint date" if it's only days away ...

Anyway, as I said in the other thread, there are a lot of crashbug fixes in 1.09, so I'm shure they are eager to get it out ASAP.
