Controller control issues

Hello everyone,

I bought Age of Wonders 4 on Steam and prefer to play from the comfort of my couch with a controller.
I noticed two problems here and wanted to ask if there is a solution or if I'm missing something.

First problem: If I want to rename a hero or a city, I can select a new random name with the controller, but I cannot assign my own name. To do this, I always have to get up and type on the PC keyboard. Isn't there a virtual keyboard for the controller?

Second problem concerns the HotSeat mode. We really enjoy playing AoW-4 as a couple via HotSeat. You can repeat the fight manually after you have lost with autoresolve or are dissatisfied. Now you are asked whether player 2 wants to control the opponent / AI. As soon as I select “don’t control”, a new autoresolve starts immediately instead of the manual fight......
I also have to go to the PC every time and click the mouse.

Are these known bugs or am I doing something wrong?

I'm not aware of any PC games that have an onscreen keyboard for controllers. Microsoft is working on system level support for one in Windows 11 but it isn't ready yet.

(I don't jive with the controller in AoW4, even though I use it a lot in Planetfall, because they changed everything and my brain doesn't like the new choices.)
