So, I'm aware there are some issues with controllers, however i actually want to use them to play. the issue seems to be the game itself is detecting the hardware input completely separate from steam (in my particular case). I'm using a joy-to-key set up and unbound everything on my left stick, my steam controller support is turned off to prevent overlapping. when i move the left stick, it still pans slowly and zooms in/out slowly. weird but not game breaking. it's the right stick that causes the map to spin around and flip to the other side or something. Is there any way to disable the game from detecting my controller? it should solve the issue, but i have no idea how to accomplish this. is it something that can be hotfixed in until the main issue is resolved? it's making the game pretty much unplayable... there's definitely something strange going on with the way the game interprets controller input. uh.. help?
p.s. i'm going to try binding mouse movements to left stick, and keeping right stick unbound, to see if it's playable.
edit: alternate setup is better but still frustrating when you would like to keep your camera centered but want to click other things. going to bind to dpad and just not use any of the sticks since they are clearly the main problem. edit part 2: dpad for mouse movements is too slow. rip. edit part 3: am I even posting in the right place?
