Hey folks!

So for a couple of years now I wanted to start my own total conversion mod for then CK2 and now CK3. Several times I started but ended up shutting it down again because I'm uncertain how to make my map. My goal is basically a simple world conversion, basically making a "vanilla" CK3 within another imaginary world. However I find myself in the position how to balance things out and the overall design. I just came up with the idea to ask people here what they would find more interesting as a setting.

Disclaimer: I know how to mod, this is purely an artistic debate about styling. Furthermore: I don't know yet whether this mod would be for public usage or just personal. Maybe one day this can become a "large" mod made with support from other people, etc.

So my questions:
Would you rather like a "whole world" to discover basically like EU4 or more focused on one maybe two continents like CK3? If a whole world, rather a pangea-style supercontinent, an ocean/archipelago world with more but smaller landmasses or like earth (1/3 landmass)? What are the pros and cons of each regarding CK3 gameplay?

One continent is enough. Making game in every region interesting and vivid is more important than making a large map. AND easier to update.

I would prefer if you could make it based on some planets in the real world, such as Mars and Venus :D
 
Succesful totalconversion needs to have its own mechanics to make it interesting otherwise its just same experience just new names. Basically everyone can generate new map and fill up localisation, but not everyone can code new mechanics.
