These definitely qualify as bugs, though Its hard to believe they haven't been discussed; apologies if so.

Firstly, convoys is fubar. The player cannot manually create supply convoys to occupied, or even all naturally owned territories. Yes I am familiar w the screen, but not all locations are in the list. When you allow the AI to build them, it creates crazy, dangerous, inefficient routes, often times using a poor allies dwindling resources since their depot is closer.
Secondly, when attempting to create very favorable or even free trade deals (as in giving resoucres for nothing) to help said starving ally, they cancell the deal. ummm, sorry? Now I have units regularly running out of oil and supplies since by hook or crook I cannot get them any. 'auto-help allies' does not appear to do anything but send a few small trades to very weak allies.

I loaded the new 1.05.1 with high hopes, only to see nothing has changed here. Again, how has this not been noted as a major issue?
Thanks.

Trade deals for resources that are not needed are canceled by the AI. Same goes for trades that are with very low trade efficiency (oversea trades with enemy fleets present). Make sure this is not the case in your game.

As noted in patch 1.05.1 thread, it aims to and addresses only the two issues mentioned there.

As for your other notes, I'm afraid their are too vague to give a proper explanation.

Thanks for the re. The player cannot manually create all needed/desired supply convoys. When I enter the screen to do so, a) only depots from mainland US are present, and more importantly b) none of the needed (or unneeded) destinations are present.
Also the nations definitely need the resources and some share borders, but they cancel the deals.

I am playing as the US and took over Sardinia as a staging base. The AI builds supply routes from St. Johns island off canada which is owned by UK. Is this supplied by the US just via that port? or from the UK's resources? If the latter, that is very dumb as there are closer safer routes. In either case, Neither Sassari or Cagliari are present on the destination list for manual supply route creation from the US. Not even Reykjavik or Puerto Rico are present as origins or destinations for possible safer manual routes. All pacific islands are there though.

I also have armies in China gaining territory for the UK running out of oil. They are supplied from clear land route to Hong Kong. I have a solid sea supply route all the way to guam and the philippines from US which could be used. All supply tech is current year or beyond.

I did do the 'give aid to UK and Free France' event, and that trade is green un-cancellable in the list. That runs at about %50-60 efficiency. I have naval and air presence int he Atlantic. I'd make a safer route, but as said, not possible.
The UK needs more resources though, especially oil, so I give them max oil and metal w some supplies for nothing. They cancel the deal immediately after accepting it. This cannot be lower than the 'give aid' efficiency and should not be low enough to cancel, especially when I have wasted surplus for free. Even if not that... the route via phillipines is super safe and could be used instead.
I also give amazing deals to Mexico and Canada for precious minerals. eg: 50 oil, 50 metal, 5 supplies, 5 money for 5 precious. Deal is always over %100 probability and likely %200. They both have huge surplus of precious and both need oil and metal and it shows this in diplomacy. Mex and Can also both immediately cancel their deals after accepting. I have to resort to making continuous one-time deals through negotiations. I do have auto deals on with stockpile precious, but this never makes a precious deal.

As for convoy setups, as far as i've seen and observed, the destinations will not be there until you let one day ticks off.

Lets say you have a convoy from Copenhagen to Reykjavik sending supplies. And then you decided to reroute it so that it instead comes out of Fredrikshavn or Narvik into Reykjavik. The day you cancel the Copenhagen - Reykjavik supply route, you will not be able to set up a supply route to the destination. However, if you let a day tick off, the destination will reappear on the list.

As for the trade, as far as i've seen and observed, the AI will try to do stuff by themselves.

I also tried trading away my excess for nothing to my allies, but they just cancel it right away. This might be due to the fact that the AI sees the trade as unnecessary and so they cancel the trade, even if it seems so generous, despite the fact that sometimes one of my ally give me something away for free and my trade AI still didn't cancel it.

If you try trading with your puppets however, things will go quite differently. First thing I noticed about the puppets is that they have no stockpile limit, and somehow, if the master (you) give away excess resources to your puppets they will not receive it and so, will be automatically cancelled. But if you do see you exporting resources to your puppets, they are just to balance their deficits, not to create excess stockpiles. In other words, they have no stockpiles.

Auto-help allies makes your trade AI gives away blueprints to your allies, much like how your allies gives blueprints to you for free. It also gives away resources that your puppets need, which is crucial because your puppets cannot trade with anyone else except it's master. Exhausting your puppets and not maintaining your puppet is bad though, so better keep this option checked.

-destinations not there regardless of time frame.
-the AI does do trades by itself, just not very well.
-trades are to non-puppet allies with whom I share a border, who need my resource, and who have excess of what I need. Still cancelling.
-perma-checking 'auto help allies' would be nice, except that I have to use blueprints to trade for resources given broken tade mechanic. And it also gives significant amounts of much needed resources, eg: rare materials, to useless puppets/allies like nicaragua.
