My Steam was set on laptop and PC to automatically update CKII.

When Steam launched I immediately choose to disable keeping the game updated, but I'm afraid that CK2.exe was in the process of being downloaded and the old 1.04 copy of it is gone.

I can't drop in a 1.05 version that was updated on my main PC (this was also set to auto update and a guest turned the machine on to ruin any chances of disabling ethernet adapter).

After 219 hours played and in the middle of an epic game, I refuse to continue under drastically changed rules for the last 1/3 of the game.

I would like a way to patch down or restore my 1.04 copy to working order. This is very unsettling to be forced to play under such drastically changed rules that ruin the "essence" of what was built up.

I would rather not take a jackass approach and ask a friend I gifted the game to backup and send me the missing file or files to undo this. Please, please, please give us a .msi to help us revert back.

*Edit* Looks like both versions on my PCs are fully working Steam 1.05 copies. Horray!

I'm sorry but that is simply not going to happen. I hope your edit means you don't want that any more anyway.

Rolling back must be like trying to hit a bullet with a smaller bullet whilst wearing a blindfold, riding a horse.

Please don't mess with the GG game version for a day or to two to allow those truly upset by the patch a way out for a little $.

Not quite sure what you mean by that last bit, but on GG the patch is a separate file (unlike Steam).
