Had a only brief look so far but the mod looks fandabbydozzy. Well done guys. Only noticed a few minor glitches so far like helicopters on the calvary unit details. My question is with the new single boat destroyers etc are the naval force ratios of capital ships and screens still 1:1 ish?

Ok, I think I know what you mean - thanks, I'll make a note of this.

It's not actually an air cavalry unit, it's just the wrong graphic (vanilla) displayed for the unit (this is because of changes with the model numbers).

AHm, ok. But when i look the description of that model it apperars to be Cavalry level V.

Ok, I'll have to double-check that when I get home. Thanks.

yes, the model pictures are a bit wierd. It seems that HoI prefers to use the original model pics over the mod dir ones. Especially if you have nation specific icons.

True - I haven't even thought about the model specific ones. The game of course tries to find a nation-specific first (even in vanilla) and then uses generics from mod-dir (or, failing that, vanilla ones). Hm... this is a bit of a problem and I don't really have a good solution.

Curious, this theoretically should not happen with mod-dir, but I guess mod-dir isn't as consistent as we would want it to be! Don't know what is causing the game to not use all the unit icons included in mod_CORE2, but an easy workaround is to rename the standard game installation GFX\Interface\models to something else (say, models_1.3A) and then the CORE2 mod will use its very own unit icons.

True, but I think the basic functionality of "if I can't find it in mod-dir, but somewhere else, use somewhere else" is screwing us up. In general it's a pretty good solution, but not with the inclusion of nation-specific models. Perhaps I can get one of the Betas to harass Johan or someone enough to fix it for Doomsday, if nothing else.

It is very odd. I have a complete set of nation specific landunit icons for germany etc., but it did use the CORE ones. But with the naval units it used the ones I had in the vanilla models dir.

Great mod, I noticed that the Indian cavalry also has the heli sign and thier stats are 0 accross the board.

Another odd thing - playing CORE2 as Germany I had vanilla model for HQ (a truck), but after renaming vanilla model dir (to force use of CORE models) there is no model at all (all I get is a square with cross inside).

Also I've got "unknown string"s (during Spanish Civil War events) in pop-up boxes explaining possible choices in that event - probably names of events that will fire (I use english version of HOI2).

But those all minor bugs and I have great fun playing CORE2

Core has no HQ icon, and since HoI can't find the vanilla file, it just displays this placeholder. Can be fixed by simply copying the vanilla file into the CORE-models dir.
