I know it's abit late, but after having tried out 1.06, admittedly very briefly, I found myself wondering if it would be worth it to make CORE compatible. 1.06 seems, to me, to be going back before 1.05c.

I will say again, that I haven't really played 1.06 for any great length, but the supply mod, the granting of part of the UK to the US to get around it, all make me think that 1.06 has done more harm than good and I'd really like to see CORE continue on the excellent path it has thus far.

Confusion...

Frankly, this is the only time I've played vanilla for more than one game. I'd LOVE to see CORE in 1.06, it's a tremendous improvement. If the only change was the supply modifier, it would STILL be worth it. A seriously improved AI, and Urban terrain are just icing, along with all the other goodies that 1.06 has.

I guess I'm confused... I don't see anything inherently wrong with what you've said about 1.06. You don't like part of U.K. going to USA? I bet both parties are MORE than happy about it... just to get rid of the supply modifier. There's so many good options to model logistic distances in Russia now... just seems too good to pass up.

I'll put in a solid vote for making CORE compatible with 1.06! The granting of a small portion of the UK to the US is only fitting, since it enacts the notion that England was becoming a glorified US aircraft carrier anyway. :)

Seriously, this workaround is fine with me, since it is nearly unique to the US situation (a major major power that was more geographically isolated than any other). Would it be possible for CORE to include events that gave, say, a province in South America to Germany if the continent goes almost fully axis?

I stopped playing 1.05c, even with CORE, because the naval combat was so limited. 1.06 fixes that.

I agree with Paul...mostly.

I failed to communicate that what my objections were. At this point, I'm more concerned that the changes in 1.06 will undo the good that was done in 1.05c. If CORE can be modified to work wit 1.06, no problem, as long as it doesn't make the game turn back the clock to before 1.05.

All I'm saying is that just because a patch is released, doens't mean CORE has to take it on board.

We're always working on a new version of CORE so don't worry, we've been working on a compatible version of CORE with 1.06 for a while. Just keep patient and soon/eventually you'll be playing CORE with 1.06!

Is there some place that I can log on that will inform me when the 1.06 core patch will be out? I have installed 1.06 on my machine already and I am keen to play CORE.

Thank you in advance

Damn! I gotta work all Sunday... :(

Look at the bright side....

You will have something to look forward to when you get home :D MDow

Check the forum?

I'll examine it from five different angles, adjust for parallax, inspect it under ultra-violet, and polish it while I'm waiting. I can't tell you how much I'm looking forward to this.

I think 1.06 brings the game to a whole new level but after playing it once I put it aside to wait for the CORE adapt. Thinking of how good it would be married into CORE made it seem like an entre - and I don't want to spoil the main.

Hurry Sunday!

Great!

I think 106 is a great improvement. Even though I made several post about the logistic distance, I'm beginng to understand it much better now. Playing as the USA Nov 44'. Looking forward to Sunday Steel, you guys at C.O.R.E. have made such good improveents to the game can't wait to see the old and new stuff
