damn game ctd when i was just crushing bulgaria and now it wont load any of my savegames.
it just gets to "reading scenario" and drops me back to the desktop.

What version of HOI are you running? Latest patch? Have you tried to uninstall and then reinstall HOI?
Did you suffer from CTDs before this started happening?

i apologize i did not look through the forum before making my post. i am having the same issues as the person starting this discussion. i can tell you i have loaded the latest patch, 1.2 i have tried to reinstall the game, both repairing it and a whole uninstall and reinstall process. and i was getting some crashes before this happened. the curious thing is that some game files will load, but they are usually the really really old ones. any help would be greatly appreciated.

Please keep posting in one thread only - don't post your problem in multiple threads as it creates problems two ways:
1) Hard to keep track of what everyone is doing
2) Taking attention away from original poster's problem.

Which scenario are you starting with?
Have you tried playing as any other nations?
Have you installed any user created mods or modified any of the HOI files?
Have you tried updating your video and sound card drivers? This may not fix the corruption problem but may prevent the crash, and if the game doesn't crash it might not corrupt your save games.
