Hi Lys91,Given that the player count has significantly increased following the new DLC release and is now more than twice that of CS2, would it be possible to put a team back into improving the game?
I was thinking more of a new studio taking over, as they have done for some of their other published games when they own the IP.Hi Lys91,
I don't think this is a good idea after their terrible handling of the C:S 2 situation.
Some CCPs and minor bugfixes here and there maybe, but a restart of a full development after botching the successor and souring up the relationship with the community completely? Nah, I can't trust them anymore.
Edit: After a second thought, there would be one feasible way I can imagine. If they'd hire some of the best modders out there to take care of the game, this could work. I mean, they already did so with the content creation for C:S 2, so why not coding under NDA as well?
Best regards,

Okay, this could work.I was thinking more of a new studio taking over, as they have done for some of their other published games when they own the IP.
The engine for csl 1 is tapped outOkay, this could work.
Maybe, Paradox is already considering this?
I mean, a long run of C:S 2 should be really on doubt right now: The player base is dwindling, a lot of the major bugs still exist a year after release and the console release seems to be unclear as well.
In the end of the day, all they want is money. And C:S 1 should be low effort and high reward.
Let's see, what will happen.
Best regards,
