That could be done, but what do you have in mind for the state of the world? How about some historical background? How did Liberia get so large? Is the empire backed by another power? Did they get investment backing and develop the resources in the area? What about ic levels? How did the Latin Federation take Cuba and Puerto Rico from a monster USA? Many questions need to be answered first my friend.

It's kind of hard to explain the history... I need to work on that.

Let's just say, the US never had Puerto Rico or Cuba.

Yeah, you really need some sort of background to make the game interesting.

UNAR: Victory for the Revolutionaries in Canada in both 1781 and 1812, lead to Canada eventually joining the United States with a final plescibite in 1910. This lead to the President declaring the "Union of North American Republics", a union between Canada and the USA. The United States however, never got into the Pacific naval competition, or took advantage of the explosion of American ships in Cuba, but the US did indeed issue the Monroe Doctrine, but not until after France turned Mexico into a satellite state.

Mexico: The French won the Mexican Intervention and Mexico became a unilateral French puppet regime. It was dragged into the Mexican-American War in 1848, of which France refused to get involved, and Mexico was reduced of it's Alta California and Texas territories.

Latin Federation: When the Bourbon Revolution hit Spain and Portugal, many radicals of Spain fled to the Central American nations. The unification of the surviving USCA and the "West Indies Federation", created after the Communist Revolution in Britain in 1919, French Second Bourbon Revolution in 1920, etc, creating a new federation. Hitler and Franco rose to power under the "Latin Worker's Party" moniker.

Kingdom of Portugal-Brazil: After the Portuguese Bourbon Revolution in 1920, the government of Portugal fled to Brazil and the two sides cooperated to create the new Kingdom.

That's a few of them, good so far?

Shaping up. How different will the countries be from vanilla? How much ic? How scientifically advanced? How warlike? Why to all of those questions.

Well...

IC: I imagine all but the UK would have high IC due to their vast territorial boundaries...

Differences: I imagine they'd be a bit more tense with each other...

Scientifical Adv: I'd estimate they'd have 1936 tech straight across the board, with perhaps, some nations who cling to their power and don't believe in upgrading could be back at 1918 tech (perhaps Peru-Bolivia and Worker's Commonwealth?)

Also, groups:

Axis ("The Iron Front"):
Leader: The Latin Federation
- Peru-Bolivia
- La Plata
- Byzantium

Comintern ("The Internationale"):
Leader: Eurasian Union
- Worker's Commonwealth

Allies ("Freedom Front"):
Leader: Greater Germania
- Japan and her puppets
- Italo-Switzerland
- UNAR

Taking that into consideration, you need to buff the infra and ic in South America considerably kind of like was done to Africa in the Domination of the Draka mod. If you don't, then the Latin"axis" powers will be considerably weaker than the other alliances. Can you come up with a historical back story that justifies/explains that?

I'd have to work on that. I'd like to work a bit on the actual mod though. Flags aren't a big deal, since I know how to make HOI2 flags... despite not having Darkest Hour... D:

I was thinking this would be a suitable flag for UNAR, each star representing Canada, Quebec and the USA?

Worker's Commonwealth

the problem with alternate histories such is these is people don't tend to think! use your noggins. Why would all these nations get formed? Why and how did the Worker's Commonwealth get created? How in the world did China merge with the USSR and what of Finland? What important victories did France win to be able to let the Europeans give them Spain during the War of Succession?

There are so many variables to ponder first before one designs these countries. They don't just come out of thin air!

What I've always wondered however is why no one has made a man in the high castle mod? copyright infringement maybe?

Yeah seems like something interesting...background history could be useful but what's more important is have you thought about events (e.g. friction between Japan and EUSR etc. ?) What about possible revolters (e.g. states that break away when others liberate them?)

Tim

Why on earth is Finland always conquered by Russia/USSR in alternate history mods?
Furthermore, Japanese "Confederation" is an odd term, as "Confederation" refers to a decentralized government where states jointly control the nation. If a 20th century Japan controls Asia, it would be anything but a confederation.

Other than that, good luck...
I just hope that you try to make this as plausible as possible. That's the main reason Kaiserreich is so popular.

Finland never broke off of Russia?

As for events, again, I'm a one-woman team. I'd like some help...

the EUSSR(it should be the Eurasian Union of Soviet Socialist Republics) reminds me of the Draka Empire, in which they were able to hold Afghanistan(really? the USSR couldn't even hold that small nation in our world.) and other large/small holdings around the world, without any mention of dissent form the population(ya, sure the Draka enslaved everybody, but their would be some sort of free resistance force, they can't capture and enslave *everybody*!). This so called EUSSR would collapse like a house of cards because of the all the religions and nationalities within its borders.
