Playing as the count of Besancon in 1187, I attempted marriage with the Byzantine emporer's daughter in Byzantium. She accepted, but never came to my court. On looking at her profile, I saw that she simultaneously had 2 living husbands, my count and someone in Korinthos, and she had become a courtier in Korinthos (maybe the proposals were accepted exactly simultaneously?). Never seen this happen before, one woman with 2 simultaneous husbands! So I assassinated the count of Korinthos, hoping that my wife would come join me. Soon after I got a notice that she was expecting. But instead of coming to my province, she died shortly thereafter. I received no notification. I assume that the game wiped her out recognizing that there was an anomaly?

Not a big deal, I only had it happen this once, but it was interesting. Maybe I should have left her in Korinthos to see who her offspring's father would turn out to be.

I've seen prior reports of this happening with MEN (one of the French dukes starts out with 2 wives by design), but never with WOMEN. Maybe it is assumed, but the point needs to be made that this occurs with both genders.

Thanks. Having 2 wives for the liege is probably not something I would complain about, and in point of fact (from the standpoint of mistresses etc.) was probably much more common in practicality than the occasional random CK event implies.

Women with 2 husbands, however, have unique problems not faced by men with 2 wives. The problems are, which court does the woman go to? If one husband dies, where does she go after that? If there are children, whose are they and where do they go to after birth? Can she simultaneously be pregnant by both husbands? etc.
