Countries Flags are all blacks

Hi
I had to desinstall and reinstall the game (I don't know why, when clicking on the link I was arriving on another game...)
I have Rome Gold, last update
All the flags are black and it is annoying to recognise the countries, specially in battles...
How to repare this?

Try deleting the two files called flagfiles.* in your Rome \gfx\flags\ directory. The game will re-create them. Then right-click on the game's desktop icon and set it to run as Admin, and to disable desktop composition.

OK, let's try a clean reinstall. First move any valued save games elsewhere.

Uninstall the game, and then manually delete the game directory - this is important. Reinstall Rome:Gold - choose a new directory like c:\games\rome instead of the suggested path. Download the 2.32c patch, and run it to install it; make 100% sure you point it to that same new directory above so that for instance the new rome.exe overwites the old one, the new romegame.exe overwrites the old one, and so on. Once done right-click on the game's desktop icon and set it to run as administrator, and to disable desktop composition.

Wonderful, it works, thanks a lot, and I realise now I didn't disable desktop composition which I didn't see the first time
